Khaparkheda Thermal Power Station is located in Khaperkheda Town Nagpur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The power plant is one of the oldest coal based power plants of MAHAGENCO. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Saoner and Dumri Khurd mines of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).Mainly coal transport through the Indian Railways.
Now coal india has opened many mines in nearby areas and these mines are also providing coal to the power plant, specially to the new power plant which is of 500 MW. Source of water for the power plant is from Pench reservoir through a pond of Koradi Thermal Power Station (KTPS). Since the new power plant has begun operations, locals have reported increase in dust leading to many health conditions. This is due to low quality equipment used in the power plant.

Stipend :-
- Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) : Rs. 9,000/- pm
- Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) : Rs. 8,000/- pm
Qualification :-
Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) :
- Full Time/ Regular Degree Pass-out in Engineering / Technology with above 55% Aggregate from recognized university by AICTE.
Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) :
- Full Time/Regular Diploma Pass-out in Engineering/Technology with above 55% Aggregate from MSBTE.
Note :-
- Final Year pursuing student & before 31st Dec 2018 passing candidate need not apply.
- Candidate should neither have any job experience after passing Degree/Diploma nor they have
completed apprenticeship under the Apprentice Act 1961 in any organization. - Candidate should be residential of Maharashtra State. Should have knowledge of Marathi language.

Duration of Training :- One Year from the date of joining the apprenticeship training.
Age Limit :- Candidate should be below 30 years of age.
