• A certificate in the respective trade from any Technical Institution recognized by the Govt. OR VIll Std. passed with experience of one year in the respective trade.
• Candidate who applies for the post of Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) should possess a valid Driving Licence to drive Heavy Vehicles.

India Post Office Recruitment Age Limit:-  18 to 30 years

• Relaxable 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), for Government Servants upto 35 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government and for Ex-Serviceman up to a maximum of 3 years [08 ( 3 + 5 ) years for ST] after deduction of the Military Service rendered from the actual age.

Gramin Dak Sevaks:(Branch Postmaster(BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster(ABPM)/Dak Sevak):

• Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS.
• The applicant should have studied the local language i.e. (Name of Local language at least up to Secondary standard [as compulsory or elective subjects.
• Knowledge of computer.
• Knowledge of cycling.
• Adequate means of livelihood.
