HPSEB Recruitment – Himachal Pradesh is almost wholly mountainous state having altitudes ranging from 350meters to 6,975 with climate conditions varying from semi-tropical to semi-arctic. The total population of Himachal Pradesh as per 2011 census was 68,56,509 with population density being 123 persons per sq. Km. Electric supply at the time of formation of the state in 1948 was available only in the Capitals of the erstwhile princely states and the connected load at the time was less than 500 kW.Thus the organization of the power utility in the state began relatively recently and first electrical division was formed in August,1953 under the Public Works Department. Subsequently a department of M.P.P & Power was formed in April, 1964. The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board was constituted on 1st September, 1971 in accordance with the provisions of Electricity Supply Act (1948) and has been reorganized as Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd. w.e.f. 14.06.2010 under company act 1956.

Qualification :- 

• The applicant should be Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering from a recognized Board/Institution/University, established by law by the State/Central Govt. OR AMIE from Institution of Engineers(India)(only those candidates who are enrolled for AMIE with the institute of Engineer(India) Kolkata with permanent recognition upto 31.05.2013) would be eligible.
• Knowledge of customs manner and dialects of HP and suitability for appointment in peculiars conditions prevailing in the “State”. The applicant must be a Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.

Experience :-  Freshers/Experienced

Age Limit :-

• The applicant should not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Provided further that
• Upper age limit is relaxable for SC,ST,OBC to the extent permissible in accordance with the instruction issued by the H.P Govt. from time to time.

Salary :-  Pay Scale: Pay scale of Rs. 10900-34800+ Rs.4350 Grade Pay

Selection Process HPSEB Recruitment :-

The total selection process is of 30 marks with following distribution:

• Weightage of essential educational qualification % of marks obtained would be divided by 10 – 10 marks
• Weightage for maximum disabilities as certified by the Medical Board/Authorities. (40% to 59 %=2 marks) (60% to 79%=4 marks) (80% to 100 %=6 marks).
• Weightage for maximum additional qualification % of marks obtained would be dividea Dy 4 – 4 marks.
• Belonging to notified backward Area/ Panchayat = 1 mark.
• Land less family/family having land less than 1 Hectare to be certified by the concerned eve Authority-1mark
• Non-employment Certificate to the effect that none of the family member is in Govt/semi of Service=1 Mark
