On 31.03.2016, Deendayal Port created history by handling 100 MMT cargo in a year – the first Major Port to achieve this milestone. Kandla Port,

also known as the Deendayal Port is a seaport in Kutch District of Gujarat state in the western India, near the city of Gandhidham. Located on the Gulf of Kutch, it is one of major ports on the western coast. Kandla was constructed in the 1950s as the chief seaport serving western India, after the independence of India.

Technical Apprentices or Diploma Apprentices- 28 Posts:

• Mechanical Engineering – 08 Posts
• Electrical Engineering – 08 Posts
• Civil Engineering – 08 Posts
• Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology – 04 Posts

Apprentices for Degree Engineering Discipline- 43 Posts:

Qualification Deendayal Port Authority Recruitment:-

• The candidates should have passed the respective trade test from ITI on and after 2020 onwards
• The candidates should have passed the final examination of Graduation Degree (B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com.) on regular basis on and after 2020 onwards.
• For Sr. No. 09 to 12: The candidates should have passed the final examination of Diploma in Engineering in respective trade (on regular basis) on and after April -2020 onwards.
• For Sr. No. 13 to 16: The candidates should have passed the final examination of Degree in Engineering in respective trade (on regular basis) on and after April-2020 onwards.
• For Sr. No. 17: The candidates should have passed the final examination of Degree (B.Com, B.Sc, BCA BA, BBA) on regular basis on and after 2020.

Upper age limit:-

• 28 years (as on 31-01-2023) in respect of any of the trades / disciplines mentioned above.
• Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD and 3 years of OBC candidates is as per the government provisions/rule

Salary:-

• Trade Apprentice – Rs. 7,700 – 8,050/- pm
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice – Rs. 8,000/- pm
• Graduate Apprentice – Rs. 9,000/- pm
• Non Engg. Graduate Apprentice –  Rs. 9,000/- pm

Selection Process:-

• The merit will be prepared on the basis of ‘Sum of marks obtained in all semesters / years’ and ‘Sum of total (maximum) marks in all semesters / years’ [as declared by the candidate in submitted application on Deendayal Port Authority website – gov.in
• If CGPA / C.P. / Grade / Scale / Point or other nomenclature is mentioned in the curriculum, then the same is to be converted into the Percentage Score as per the rules and shall be inserted (out of Maximum Marks i.e. 100).
