Job Description :-
Key relationships:
Internal to organization: Project Management, Project teams, Proposal Team, HR, Admin & Finance.
External to organization: Clients / Customer, Vendors, Contractors, Sub-contractors.
Role Purpose
- Assist Lead Engineer to conduct Static Equipment Engineering activities for projects, from initial concept definition phase through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Assist Lead Engineer to create, develop, and review work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities. Ensure that the work-scopes are comprehensive and clear.
- Ensure that the required engineering standards and company technical assurance practices are followed whilst conducting Static Equipment Engineering activities.
- Prepare and performs discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documents. Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained. Familiar with the Quality/HSE Management system and their procedures.
- Co-ordinates with other disciplines & resolves the engineering issues. Provides engineering inputs during all design phases including interpretation and application of standards.
- Participates in the Technical reviews and progress review of projects. Familiar with the Company procedures and international standards & codes.
Responsibilities:
Prime Responsibilities (Project Specific)
- Responsible for meeting company’s engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects.
- Assists the team to produce engineering/construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.
- Prepare Material Requisitions are reflective of project requirements and specifications
- Carry out technical bid evaluations to ensure vendor compliance with material requisitions
- Provide technical assistance/troubleshooting assistance in resolving static equipment design, operation, and maintenance problems; contact internal and external experts as required
- Ensure uniformity and standardization compatibility at optimum levels in design and engineering all phases of the project and update company specifications by incorporating lessons learned
- Participate in weekly/monthly project meetings.
- Answer the queries raised by construction personnel to support construction program.
Prime Responsibilities (General) :
- Participate in schedule and planning engineering activity
- Participate in gate review during proposal estimation
- Continuous improvement in design tools, efficiencies, and overall quality of deliverables
- Utilize reliability tools such as failure evaluations, Root Cause Analysis, and cost analysis to improve reliability of static equipment systems.
Shared cross-functionally:
- Work with teams to develop engineering budgets estimates for work share projects
- Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring
- Build strong cohesive teams that works together
- Work closely with project teams to establish annual goals and initiatives to advance the teams and maintain a high level of competency and exceptional quality
- Continually communicate with counterparts to understand upcoming projections of staffing needs and take action to meet the varying needs.
