Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizers Corporation Limited (BVFCL) was incorporated on 5^th April 2002 after segregation of Namrup units in Assam from Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited (HFCL). BVFCL is under the administrative control of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Fertilizers with 100% shareholding by the Government of India. It is the first factory of its kind in India to use associated natural gas as basic raw material for producing nitrogenous fertilizer.

The first group of plants named Namrup-I consisting of one Sulphuric Acid (2×125 TPD), one Ammonium Sulphate (3×101 TPD) and one 167 TPD Urea-Ammonia plants commissioned on January 1969. All these plants are now scraped.

Qualification:-

For the post of Boiler Attendant Gr-II:

• HSCL/ITI with 1″ class Boiler Attendant certificate or HSLC with National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) Boiler Trade.
• Minimum 05 years post qualification relevant work experience in operation of Boilers -medium/high pressure water tube boilers in Fertilizer /Chemical Industry. Training period shall not be considered as part of experience.

For the post Operator Trainee Gr-II (Production):

• 03 years regular full time Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University. Or 03 years regular full time B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 40% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University.

For the post of Technician Trainee Gr-II(Instrumentation):

• 03 years regular full time Diploma in Instrumentation /Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication /Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University. d. For the post of Technician Trainee Gr-II (Mechanical)03 years regular full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University.

For the post of Loco Driver Trainee Gr-II (M.M):

• 03 years regular full time Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University.

For the post of Chemist Trainee Gr-II (Chem. Laboratory):

• 03 years regular full time B.Sc Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized Institute/ University.

For the post of Technician Trainee Gr-III (Electrical):

• HSLC pass with ITI in Electrical Trade approved by NCVT/ SCVT

For the post of Technician Trainee Gr-III( Fitter):

• HSLC pass with ITI in Fitter Trade approved by NCVT/ SCVT

 For the post of Technician Trainee Gr-III (Welder):

• HSLC pass with ITI in Welding Trade approved by NCVT/ SCVT

Salary:- Rs.9,450 – Rs.22,350 Per Month.

Age Limit:-

• Not more than 43 years for Boiler Attendant Gr-II, 30 years for Operator Trainee Gr-II, Technician Trainee Gr-II, Loco Driver Trainee Gr-II & Chemist Trainee Gr-II, 27 years for Technician Trainee Gr-III(Electrical/Fitter/Welder) as on 1st February, 2023.

Brief Information :- BVFCL Recruitment 2021: Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) has announced a notification for the recruitment to the post of Electrica, Instrumentation, Mechanical Trade Apprentices. ITI There are 17 vacancies are to be filled for this posts. Interested candidates who are all eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before 24 November 2021. The educational qualification of the candidates must be ITI. The age limit of the candidates are not less than 14 to 24 years. The detailed eligibility and selection process are given below.

About BVFCL: The Namrup Fertilizer Complex Was Renamed As Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited After Bi-Furcation From Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited From 01/04/02. It Is Located On The Bank Of Dilli River In The South-Western Border Of Dibrugarh District In Assam. It Is The First Factory In India, Who Use Natural Gas As Basic Raw Material For Producing Nitrogenous Fertilizer.Till The Sixties Namrup Was Not Known To The Rest Of The Country. Discovery Of Oil And Natural Gas In Naharkatiya Region Promoted A Serious Thinking On Proper Utilization Of Gas. After making detailed techno-economic study, the Kane Committee recommended a fertilizer factory to be located at Namrup. Needless to say that Central Water & Power Commission too recommended favourably setting up of thermal power plant within a few distance from the fertilizer factory at Namrup.

• Selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on the aggregate percentage of Marks in Matriculation + ITI in respective discipline and a personal interview.
• For the purpose of calculation of marks in matriculation, marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects   will be reckoned and for the purpose of calculation of percentage in ITI marks, marks mentioned in the provisional / final certificate will be reckoned.
• The candidates will have to qualify Pre-employment medical fitness as per BVFCL’s preemployment medical standard for being adjudged suitable for engagement.
