This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1983-84 the Under Graduate programmes in Electronics Engineering was introduced and in the year 1988-89 the UG programmes in Computer Engineering and Production Engineering was started. In the year 1995-96, UG programme in Chemical Engineering was introduced. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT),

Position:- Senior Technician/Technician

Qualification/ Experience:-  

Senior Technician:

• Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a recognized board with at least 60% marks Or Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. Or Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic / Institute. Desirable: Bachelor’s degree

Technician:

• Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks Or Senior secondary (10+2) from a Government recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. Or Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a Government recognized Polytechnic / Institute.

Age Limit:-

Senior Technician:

• Not Exceeding 33 Years
• Note:- Relaxable for Departmental Candidates upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government

Technician:

• 27 years Note:- Relaxable for Departmental Candidates upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government

Salary:-

• Senior Technician – Rs.5, 200 – 20,200) with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-
• Technician – Rs.5, 200 – 20,200) with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-

 Selection Process SVNIT Recruitment 2022: –

• Selection based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walk in interview.
